Pass Away Zakir Hussian : A Great Tabla Player

Delhi, December 28, 2024: Born on 9 March, 1951 in Mumbai. Zakir Hussain is one of the best tabla players in the world. His father, Ustad Alla Rakha, was also a famous tabla player and he taught Zakir from a young age. Zakir showed amazing talent and worked very hard to become a master of tabla.

Zakir Hussain is known for his fast and beautiful tabla playing. He has performed all over the world and worked with many great Musicians. He has played both Indian classical music and fusion music, mixing Indian sounds with western music. His work has brought Indian music to global audiences.

Zakir has won many awards, including the Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan, two of India’s highest honors. He has also won Grammy Awards for his work with other musicians. Zakir was not only just a performer but also a teacher, inspiring young musicians everywhere.

One of his major contributions is his ability to blend Indian Classical Music with other genre. Zakir was a founding member of Shakti, a group that combined Indian Classical Music with jazz. But the unfortunate news is that this tabla star passed away in a hospital of San Francisco, America It was 5:30 in the morning in India, 4 pm in Sa Francisco. His sister Khurshid Auliya informed, 73 yea old Zakir passed away peacefully at that time. He wa admitted in the hospital for two weeks. He was suffering from idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, a serious lung disease. Zakir’s manager Nirmala Bachani said tha Zakir had a blood pressure problem and heart disease also occurred.

A Goods Train Hit Kanchanjunga Express : 9 Died

Siliguri, 18 June, 2024: Nine people died and 41 were injured when a goods train hit the Kanchanjunga Express near Siliguri, North Bengal. The crash happened at 8:55 am, 11 km from New Jalpaiguri. Six of the deceased were in a general compartment, others who died included the goods train’s loco pilot, the passenger train guard, and a Railway Mail Service Official. The co-pilot is in hospital. The impact was less severe because the guard’s compartment and parcel vans absorbing most of it. According to the preliminary report signal failure may have caused the accident. Rescue operations began promptly, with emergency teams working to free trapped passengers and provide medical aid. Compensation was increased to Rs 10 lakh for the dead, Rs. 2.5 lakh for those who were seriously injured, and 50,000 for minor injuries. Railway minister promised an investigation.
